Our Patented Mine

Our patented mine isn’t a hobby — it’s the heartbeat of our family.

The material we bring up from underground connects today’s work to California’s mining past.

A Small Farm in the Sierra Foothills

Sierra Mountain Honey Farms sits high in the foothills above the American River, where forest, history, and hard work still shape daily life. What began as a family homestead has grown into a small mountain farmstand offering honey, seasonal produce, handcrafted goods, and materials gathered directly from the surrounding forest and land.

Mining the Sierra’s Hidden History

Beneath the Sierra Foothills lies an ancient gold-bearing river channel known to early miners as the Blue Lead. Our patented mine sits along this historic formation, and the material we bring up from underground becomes the paydirt bags we share with hobbyists and prospectors around the country.

The Woman Who Built the Foundation

This land, this way of life, and this family were shaped by a woman whose strength ran as deep as the mountain itself. Everything we do stands on what she made possible — the work, the land, and the legacy she refused to let go.
